A Community a Century in the Making
Rangeview is the first community of its kind in Alberta, with the introduction of 'Agricultural Urbanism' to Calgary. Agricultural Urbanism is the practice of integrating local food systems in the design and programming of neighbourhoods and communities. Driven by the demand for social, economic, and environmental sustainability, Agricultural Urbanism is quickly gaining momentum across North America, and Section23 is uniquely positioned to pioneer this concept in Rangeview.

Rooted in Section23's rich agricultural heritage, the community will become a vibrant and social gathering place for neighbours to connect, surrounded by amenity-rich residential living, community gardens and food production opportunities. When complete, it will be home to 3,000 families and a population of 10,000.

The History of Rangeview
An enduring family legacy began almost a century ago when the Ollerenshaw family settled a parcel of land south of Calgary. Each successive generation’s determination and passion have been guided by the belief, “If you take care of the land, the land will take care of you.”

The Ollerenshaw's established themselves as a hardworking and community-minded family. Their son Fred later grew up to take over the family farm, and along with his wife Marjorie, expanded their holdings to include neighbouring parcels of land, including Section 23. These lands now make up Section23 Developments’ Rangeview community.

Over the years, the Ollerenshaw family has been recognized for their innovation, entrepreneurialism and philanthropy. This tradition is an inspiration and point of pride for Robert Ollerenshaw, the founder of Section23 Developments, and has led to the establishment of Rangeview.
